What’s better than a December birthday? Sharing it with your bestie!
The girls’ forced friendship began when they were only 6 months old at a playdate started by a neighborhood mama*. They sat and stared at each other while us moms talked about sleep training and snacks. Enter>> the pandemic, a furlough, and a whole lot of summer fun together, and now each girl obsessively asks for the other all day long.
Sloane’s mama had the great idea to start a birthday tradition to celebrate every year, so obviously 2020 called for ice cream sundaes at 9am! Their personalities are clearly portrayed in this series, so it’s my wish that Sloane, when given the choice, continues to be Emma’s friend as the years go on. HA! She’s so patient even when Emma’s a little savage, and I’m so thankful for this friendship.
*Sarah, this special asterisk is for you, for creating the playgroup, holding us together, and for starting this bond. We might have to fly to our playdate now, but distance will never deter the girls and Bryant’s friendship!
