In my perfect world, there would be no hate, violence, or disease. The sun would shine every single day. Kid President would actually be the president, because "kids have voices worth listening to." Lastly, in my perfect world, everyone would have a best friend like I have in Janna.
We met at my first 'big girl' job. She hired me (because, well, how can you even resist me?!), and though we were years apart in age - she, a mom, myself, a naive college graduate - it didn't take long for us to become friends, and shortly after that, best friends. She was by my side on the happiest day of my life - my wedding day - calming my nerves and sharing my excitement. Later, I was her crutch, trying my best to support her as she watched her dad fight cancer. The heart wrenching battle was lost, but she maintained her brave, faithful heart, carrying on her dad's wit and humor, fearless faith, and my favorite, that smile full of chiclets. Every day, we exercise together, side by side, synchronized, always racing to be the fastest & the strongest. I'll let her tell you who usually wins. ;)
She wears so many hats, and I'm so very thankful for the hat that laughs, cries, and fights with me day in and day out!
The sun wasn't shining on this chilly, winter day, but with a beautiful family like Janna's, it doesn't matter. I'll let you see for yourself.
