POPHAM BEACH/PHIPPSBURG, MAINE VACATION & TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY

Vacation.

The word alone is so freeing.  So open.  But also, still stressful and busy and fast.  So sometimes, a small dose of selfishness is required.

This summer, I chose to be selfish.  Selfish, so that I could slow down and savor every second. I needed to actually vacate on this vacation and hibernate in my own happy.

I simply wanted to BE in Maine.

The same exhilaration from every summer's past traveled with me and my family to my favorite destination.  A destination I know better than the city I live in.

So for three weeks, my happy lingered around doing everything or doing nothing.

I did all the Auntie things and also pulled my Auntie card:

"go ask your mom."

When inspiration hit, I grabbed my camera and did what I love best.  When 5:00 hit?

 I grabbed the wine.

And when a dream opportunity unfolded,

I worked aboard a lobster boat.

(coming soon!)

I simply vacationed the heck out of life.  And here's the proof.
